ZOMG! It's March -- FINALLY!!!
last modified: Sunday, March 01, 2009 (9:49:50 PM)
I dunno why, but February is always a hard month for me. Maybe it's because I insist on decking my RS gallery out in the vintage valentine tones of sepia and light pink. It always seems like a good idea at the beginning of the month, and, actually, I do like the V-day layout I use (especially the "Love Bites" lyrics =P). But, as the month of February progresses, pink comes to feel like less and less of a good idea and more and more like a bit of madness that must be overcome.

This year was no exception. I thought February was NEVER going to end. How can a month that contains only 28 days drag on into infinity -- and beyond? I have no idea, but February manages to do it.

But, at last, February has, once more, gone gently into that good night. Or whatever. I think I'll enjoy a moment of silence to commemorate its passing.

...

OK. Now that that's done ...

I decided to ring in March with a "White Day" layout. (Which, of course, is Weiss themed ... what else? ^.~) I've wanted to do one for a while, although the timing just hasn't been right. Until this year. I'm so happy I finally got to do this, as it was just begging to be done. No really -- the voices in my head have been insisting. O_O

Real life has been rather sucky. My daughter has been sick again. A virus this time -- only a month after she got over having pneumonia. Poor little kid. She is feeling somewhat better now, although it appears as if I caught her ick. Oh joy. I've also been in a pretty bad mood, overall. (Which is so not pretty. -.-)

Writing has been the pits lately. As in, I have been getting nothing done. I have been spending a lot of time volunteering at my daughter's school during the week. I enjoy doing it, but I think I'm going to have to cut back so that I can get moving on the next book I want to write. I don't want to let things sit for too long without any progress, mainly because it's just darn frustrating. >.O

On the plus side, February 15 marked one year since Fae the Pin-Headed dog came to live with us. She turned a year old in December, although she's still totally nuts. She is fitting in pretty well, though. I think we are all finally starting to get used to her, which is a blessing. She's funny and a lot of fun -- enough so that I sometimes don't miss Tex quite as much. This is a good thing.

I've had a few nice additions to my collection. (At least, I think they are nice, which works out pretty well -- lol.) And, I've managed to get lucky and land a couple of wishlists, too. That's always pretty exciting.

Hmmm ... I suppose that's about it from my corner of the universe. I hope you guys like the new layout. =)

March is my fav. month. I love the weather, and we now have 4-5 family birthdays (Godfather, mine, fatherinlaw, and 2 out of 3 kids). :D

:( I''m sorry to hear your daughter is sick. It seems like the yo-yo weather we''ve been experiencing has contributed to a large amount of colds/flus this year. I hope she gets better soon.

btw.. Weiss is cool, and I really like the fact that white isn''t blaring white, and instead a nice ''cool'' shade :D
As always, love the bishies you provide a home for ^_^

February flew by for me....been bz bz at work and things will stay that way for the next few mths.

Sorry to hear abt the illness that seems to be going around, hope you and your daughter are feeling better. If not, looking at the WK hotties on your gallery page will make you feel better ^_~ I like the new look, the blue is very soothing. And you''ve got some very pretty new sketches too, more bishounens I noticed ^_^

Good luck on your book! I''ve great respect for writers because I love reading and it takes a whole lot of discipline and patience to finish writing a book....^_^;

It looks very good, your layout, love the use os the harmonys as the banner. Sorry to hear your daughter is sick again, seems to be going around going around, my brother is stuck at home today due to just that. I am glad to hear the pin-head is bringing you joy. TTYL''s *hugs*

Thanks so much, Galexia, Cordelia, and Otakusin! *gloms* I''m glad you liked the new layout. I was hoping the "softer" blue/white background color would work out OK. I wanted to do something almost white, but I am not good at using pure white for the background. I can never get that to work. >.O I''ve probably done way too many Weiss themed layouts, but I do love those bishie assassin boys. (lol)

My daughter is feeling better. We are snowed in today, so she got an extra day off from school. I think she needed it. She is playing in her room. As for me, I feel like ... blech. But, hopefully, it''ll pass quickly. *crosses fingers*

Thanks for the good luck vibes re: the writing. I hope to get something done today. =)

February is a ridiculous month. Considering it is only 28 days and contains Valentine''s Day, it has got to be the most miserable month. Period. It''s cold. It''s gray. It''s full of happy couples reminding you of how painfully single you are. And worst of all - no days off. Most other months have some sort of long-weekend or holiday built in. But February has nothing. Bleh.

Ha, ha -- very true, Miss Z. (Well, the "painfully single" part isn''t, since I''m one half of a happy couple. Or, well, we''re happy most of the time. After 10 years of marriage, that''s a pretty good thing. =P) February has always felt like a very long month to me. Maybe it''s because I''m ready for spring by the time it rolls around. This year, I think we''ve had a lot more gray, cloudy weather than usual, too. Ah well, hopefully spring is around the corner. I''ll just ignore that big pile of snow covering my driveway! =D

We like the new layout! How could anyone NOT like all the bishie boys??!!??
This year is zipping by in the usual fashion.

February has Valentine''s Day (as in "The Massively Disruptive 2007 Valentine''s Day Blizzard and PennDOT Screw-Up" (I actually went out in my car to see if the Interstates were open; they weren''t, and didn''t operate until 48 hours later, an eerie calm falling over Sensei''s old house 3 mi. from the I-80/I-81 cloverleaf). And it''s got Presidents'' Day (as in "The Great Presidents'' Day Blizzard of 2003), the day I totaled my wife''s cream puff on I-81, then drove it 40 mi. home, the icy wind holding enough fluid in the radiator to make it into the garage, much to the insurance inspector''s bafflement).

Now March has "The Great Nor''easter of 2009!" I''ve used two images from it to do my own "white[-out] day" gallery make-over.

Soon.

Patti, I hope the weather breaks for you and your daughter soon. Your new look has a pretty pastel Eastery look that makes it enjoyable to look through. Did I ever say that I love your new Cleao cel with the lighter-than-air hair? I don''t have that much hair (any more...) but I''ll try to make my eyes go Easter-eggy when I actually see a daffodil.

Soon.

Thanks, Perv-chan!! *gloms* I''m glad you like the new ''do. (You''re right, though -- bishie boyz for the WIN! *cheers* =D)

Ah, yes, Sensei -- SOON! I''m so ready for spring. I''ll bet you would be good at making the Easter-eggy eyes once the crocuses start popping up from the ground. =)

Thanks for the kind words for Cleao. I was quite happy over being able to add something from that scene to my Orphen collection, particularly since I''ve had a screencap from it saved on my computer for many years now.
