So Long And Thanks For All The Fish... last modified: Tuesday, July 21, 2009 (3:57:00 PM) I always found that part of the movie "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" the funniest part. I could have done without the rest of the movie, lol.
I just wanted to say, it's been a great time collecting cels, but alas it's time for me to move on to other projects and hobbies. I never thought I'd be parting with so many cels at once, but surprisingly I feel relieved. Ask me 4 years ago if I'd let go any of my prized cels and I could've given you the death glare. But as some are making their way to other homes, I actually felt quite comfortable packaging them up and sending them onward to the eager collector. And I feel even better when I'm making another collector's dream come true, because I remember that feeling all too well.
For those that have been a great pal and enjoyed the long chats, be it for sniping on a cel, giving each other hope when times got tough, or to just talk about the hobby that suckered us in, I hope we continue our friendship by keeping in touch. I've already been talking with several of you not about the hobby but more of life itself. Being married, seeing the world really opens your eyes, hence my decision to move on to other hobbies.
Of course, this doesn't mean I dislike SM or anything else I've collected. I just don't have the interest or the heart in it anymore. So with that, I hope you all enjoy your collecting endeavors, whether you be a newbie arriving on the scene, or a seasoned collector. The best thing about cel collecting is not just owning a piece of your favorite show on acetate; it's about having fun too. Be sure to do the latter a lot, you will feel so much better and happier. Don't dawdle in drama; you learn pretty quick it isn't worth your time or frustration. Let the other person worry about it and make their life miserable.
Have fun, good luck and enjoy life!!
