Gorgeous psycho Phibby- breaks my heart last modified: Wednesday, February 01, 2006 (4:31:05 PM) 50,000 yen starting price on Y!J. I don't know why I look, just crazy I guess. Can't afford a thing this month. And of course it's Psycho!Phibrizzo! Gah!
I only hope that someone I know buys it and is willing to sell it later. Otherwise.. well *shrug* I'm lucky to have what I have, really. I appreciate being able to have enough cels for the gallery to be 2 pages - when I get a stable job and get my funds flush again, I'll re-enter the cel player field.
I know, I saw it too and went; "WHAT?! Are they crazy?! Hardly anyone can afford that at this time of year!" I also saw the Xelloss cel they have up too for 40,000 starting price and it''s not even really that good a shot of him. The prices for cels lately in Japan have been INSANE. I''m sorry that it''s like that with the Phibby cel it is an awesome shot. There''s a chance no one will bid on it and it will be reposted after the auctions ends and maybe you can hit it then. Good luck with whatever you do!
What really gets me is there''s next to no information on the cel either - a pic of the sketch, but no sequence number (I thought maybe it was A1 which would sort of justify the price) and if that background is included, matching, original painted, etc. I do have a cel from that sequence but the close up on auction is delicious and psycho. Oh well. I''m glad I have penniless Slayers cel collectors to lament and complain with!
I believe I saw the cel number on the sketch of Phibby As C-13 or something like that. It does however have another Slayers cel with the auction so maybe that''s a reason for the high price.
Actually apon closer inspection I think it''s cel number is C-2 Sorry about that. |
