Wasn't meant to be.. part 2
last modified: Tuesday, November 01, 2005 (4:45:04 PM)
I lost the auction on Mandarake, my max bid was $300 and it went for $301. Oh well. *sigh* I look at it this way: more money for other cels, and maybe this is the God's way of saying I'm going to be able to buy the used convertible I've been eying..

*checks wallet*

*watches moth fluttering by*

Hmmmm . . . nope. >.<

You don''t wanna know what I''ve spent on the four I currently own (three coming, one I have) .. I think I''d hit my VISA limit if I had bought them all at once. o_o

Hey, I won this cel because Ive been wanting a good Phibby closeup, but I''ll keep you in mind if I ever decide to sell him =)

(you never know what may come along that I might want more.)

Well, thanks for thinking of me. I see you bought the Gaav cel at animegame (I believe that''s where I saw it) too! I was hoping so much that I got the Phibby cel I even took a screencap of the scene it was used in. If you''d like it (I tend to put a screencap of each cel I have if I can help it, helps put it in perspective). Glad it went to a good home, though, and that it''s somewhere I can admire it whenever I want. :3 Take a big scan for it for me! :D

That sucks ... but look at it this way.

1. You get 100% of your money back to spend in some other way. I don''t know of any other form of gambling where if you lose you get your money back. And, in my opinion, money is almost as desirable as nice cels.

2. You were the one who fixed the actual worth of that cel. In other words, if you hadn''t bid, the high bidder might have gotten it for a lot less. And the price s/he paid for that cel sets a precedent that other buyers and sellers will keep in mind. Plus the winner is not likely to sell it for any less that what you bid any time soon.

So there''s a lot to be proud of.

... But it still sucks.

*hugs* There will be more. That''s the beauty of this hobby. It may take time and patience, but you will eventually have what you want if you stick with it long enough =)

Funny how things go like that. I just was up at 2am trying to win an auction that my max was also $300, and it went for $305.
*sigh*
Better luck for us both next time, eh? ^_^
